3. KNOCKON:

KnockOn app will help to wake up your Android phone from sleep by simply taping on your phone' screen and lock your phone by double tapping on your phone screen. The double tap to lock your phone will work on every Android phone but double tap to wake feature works on phone with OLED displays. The reason behind the tap to wake feature works only on OLED screen phone is that KnockOn app will display a back screen so the screen will remain on and it will take battery power at higher rate when it is activated on LED screens so the developer said that the battery consumption will high when tap to wake is enabled.

You can setup the sleep time for your Android phone using this app and you can also customize the double tap speed, if you set low double tap speed such as 25ms you have to tap your phone screen faster within 25ms interval between the taps. You can set the tap speed up to 500ms which is enough for you to complete the two taps without hurry.

Here are the quick look at the features of the app:

  • Tap to lock your phone
  • Tap to wake your phone (OLED displays only!)
  • Both features can be activated separately
  • Set up a sleep time to reduce power consumption
  • Customize double tap speed
